About Martin

Award winning choreographer, teacher, and founder of Hotfeetdance Company, Martin Smith is renowned for his creativity, skill, and emphasis on having fun in dance.

Born of Irish parents who immigrated to Australia in the early 70's, Martin has been dancing since he was six years old. He has since gone on to win the Australian National Dance Championships in Irish Dance for nine consecutive years in a row.

Martin has both performed and taught a wide range of dance styles throughout the world including Irish, salsa, mambo, ballroom, and hip-hop.

His performances have spanned the globe and include the Sydney 2000 Olympic Ceremonies, the Dance Drama at the Irish Dance World Championships, and the award-winning “X-men” performance at the 2003 Sydney Latin Fiesta.

Martin is currently a choreography consultant and dance teacher in Denver, Colorado.
